Building a Prayer Journal

A prayer journal is a diary that you keep that documents your prayer life. A prayer diary can be a great tool to help you focus on your prayer life. A prayer journal or diary is a great way to improve your prayer life and make you more aware of how God answers prayers.

The Power of Prayer

There is great power behind a prayer that gives Jesus Christ unlimited control over the situation. Knowing how to pray properly is very important. First of all, make known to God your prayer request. Then be sure you ask for God's will, not your will, to be accomplished in the situation. By putting it in God's will the Lord has a greater opportunity to bless you more fully in the situation. An example of this is that you ask the Lord for an apple, but the Lord wishes to give you an entire orchard. So be open to receiving the rich and full blessings of the Lord.

Remember to always trust in the Lord with all your heart, mind, and soul. He hears your requests; he knows your needs and his answer will come when the will of God the Father is accomplished.

"I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it."

The Lord answers all our prayers with the intent of bringing the most benefit and glory to God the Father and his Kingdom.
